The difference between a renovation and a new build usually shows up in the corners, where time and budget pressure cut deepest. We treat renovations the same way we treat new construction. Same lead carpenter, same coordination of trades, same standard for the finish work.

Most of our general contracting work is on homes that matter to the people who own them. A primary residence, a long-held family home, or a historic property on the Nantucket Historic District register. Each one requires the same disciplined sequencing and the same accountability through to the final walkthrough.

###    Whole-Home Renovations               

Gut and remodel projects that reconfigure how a home lives. Walls moved, systems replaced, layouts rethought, finishes selected. The work is sequenced so the home is delivered complete, not in stages.

###    Kitchens & Primary Suites               

The two rooms that bear the most daily weight and the most design attention. We coordinate cabinetry, plumbing, lighting, and tile to the millimeter, because in these rooms the finish work shows.

###    Additions & Expansions               

Second-story additions, ells, accessory structures. The structural and architectural challenge is making the addition read as if it was always there. We work with your architect to land that result.

###    Historic Restorations               

Properties inside Nantucket's Historic District require preservation of original character on the exterior, often paired with full modernization inside. We coordinate the HDC review alongside the build so the two stay in sync.

###    Project Management & Scheduling               

Renovations are lived in, or lived near. The schedule we hold matters as much as the work itself. We coordinate trades to compress disruption and meet the dates we commit to.
